Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) is the hottest new trend in water sports! And it is super easy to learn and navigate at any of one of our calm, inland waterways locations without the concern of boat traffic, changeable water conditions, waves or other distractions. Our certified team will provide everything you need to GET ON BOARD including the most stable SUP equipment available and guidance on the water. Anyone can learn to SUP!

SUP 101

Learn the basics and develop safe and effective SUP skills with our certified instructors. We guide you step by step on land, developing your confidence and understanding, before heading out onto the water for a 60 minute adventure. Our team will provide support throughout your journey for the best possible experience. SUP and safety equipment included. 18yrs+ Must be able to swim.

Sunset Paddle

Relax and let one of our certified guides lead you on an unforgettable adventure on Lake Milton. Enjoy scenic views, challenge the wind, or bask in the glow of the sunset. What a perfect ending to a day at the lake or a relaxing weeknight activity.

This session launches at Pointview where we explore the south end of the lake. Completion of SUP 101 or SUP experience required. All participants will be evaluated prior to launch for clearance. 18yrs+ Must be able to swim.

SUP Glow Tours

Get ready for a trip beneath the stars to explore the lake after dark on this illuminating SUP Glow Adventure. Surrounded by color, you will navigate through the darkness guided by lighted paddles to brighten your path. Nothing compares to this unique, summer night paddle experience.  Exclusive to those with prior paddling experience with Shaka Fitness unless registered for a same day lesson. 18yrs+ Must be able to swim.

What to Wear

 

The goal is to stay dry and out of the water, but you should prepare to get wet just in case. Participants should wear fitted, light weight, quick drying yoga clothing, activewear or swimwear that allows for easy movement. Avoid cotton, fleece, or anything excessively baggy.  No shoes are worn on the paddle board, but please wear flip flops or shoes that can get wet to the beach or shoreline for comfort and safety.  

 

 

Requirements

 
  • Participants must be at least 18 years old with valid ID. 

  • Must be able to swim unassisted.

  • Must be comfortable in the water.   

  • Must be able to listen to verbal instruction.

  • Must have good body awareness and the ability to focus.

  • Must have freedom of movement.*  

  • No paddle boarding experience required, lessons are provided with each class unless otherwise specified.

  • Beginners and those new to water sports are welcome and encouraged.

Weather related cancellations

Weather conditions, such as heavy rain, thunderstorm, high winds, air/water temps below 70 degrees, and/or any forces of nature considered unsafe may require the cancellation of classes.  Please visit our policies page for more details.
